I had planned to spend most of the night fishing in Orgrimmar trying to catch this bastard but got pulled in to Heroic Nexus (heroic daily) and Heroic Violent Hold by our other guild Warlock. I picked up enough Emblems for my T7 chest so it was totally worth it. Afterward I headed back to Orgrimmar, loaded a playlist of Misfits & Blitzkid songs.. then caught Old Crafty on my 4th or 5th cast..
I suppose an updated banner is in order!
*goes to take a screen cap* DONE!
I’ve been picking brains (OM NOM NOM!) with 3.1 specs and after lots of ideas being thrown around, I’ve settled on main speccing Uber Imp/Chaos Bolt (0-13-58) and off-speccing as Meta/Ruin with (0-56-15) unless someone comes up with a high DPS hybrid build with a simpler rotation that is more forgiving on mobile bosses.
For the Destruction build, I’m thinking Life Tap, Conflagrate and Chaos Bolt for the majors. If the Chaos Bolt glyph makes the rotation weird I’ll drop it for Glyph of Immolate. It looks like they’ve dropped Glyph of Incinerate altogether as I no longer see it on any 3.1 page (WoWhead, MMO-Champion).
For the Metamorphosis build, I’m going with Metamorphosis, Life Tap and Immolate. WTB 3.1 nao?
Also, for anyone interested in taking a sneak peak at the DPS output for different Warlock specs, there is a great thread on EJ using a simulation here. Looks like Haunt/Ruin with a Doomguard is the highest but not the most feasible due to his cooldown. What I LOVED seeing was that the DPS was very close with all deep specs. GG Blizzard. I never thought I’d say that and not be totally sarcastic about it. It’s good to know that you can go whatever spec you want and still pull around the same DPS without going batshit trying to figure out a rotation you aren’t comfortable with. Something else weird that I noticed was that the Affliction spec reports a higher DPS count if you use your Succubus (she has higher DPS than the Felhound apparently and Fel Intelligence doesn’t stack with Arcane Intellect or something) as the main pet and that every spec counts haste as a higher priority than crit. *Secretly starts to use Spellstone over Firestone and pretends its always been that way*
