I’ve been working with Nevariah to try and get her fishing caught up to what Abigore’s is so I can go for the turtle mount in 3.1 I’ve also been working on her Hodir rep against my will. I hate hate HATE the Hodir rep grind. It doesn’t take too long, I just don’t really enjoy the quests. Other than that, I got her tailoring up to 425 so I could craft the epic flying carpet (which is totally worth the annoying tailoring grind, might I add!) and zoomed around Northrend grabbing whatever FP’s I had missed on the way to 80.
I haven’t seen any VoA-10, OS-10 or OS-25 PuGs recently so rather than burn myself out on rep grinding I went over to my lowbie alts to pass some time and just keep up with guild chat conversation. Both of my RAF accounts are over and I’m left with some alts that didn’t quite reach their limit.
Kathuste, the 49 Orc Rogue will most likely not be leveled any time soon. I’m not fond of the Rogue playstyle although stealthing around is cool. I have the leather BoA shoulders for the XP boost so leveling from 49-58 wouldn’t be too bad at all.. I just don’t have fun playing him. Maybe some day?
Krisun, the 39 Blood Elf Mage is definitely going to be leveled eventually. I was leveling Arcane to try out some things I had read in Critical QQ’s blog post and enjoyed in once I picked up Torment of the Weak but I still find Frost to be a more enjoyable spec for leveling. I’m also a lot more familiar with Frost since that is how I leveled my Alliance Mage to 70. I have the cloth BoA shoulders and actually leveled him to 40 last night, happily picking up Ice Barrier and 3 city portals.
Aaerseth is actually a new Undead Warrior alt of mine. The 2nd RAF account had 17 levels to give me left over and I didn’t want to waste them and the Warrior class was the only class left on the Horde side that I didn’t have. I didn’t care for DPSing as a Warrior but I figured what the hell, I’ll give tanking a shot instead. I DO want a tank alt and it will most likely be my Paladin, Aubigore, since he’s already 70 but it’ll be nice to have options. I had a ton of badges left over on Abigore so I picked up the plate BoA shoulders for him just incase.
Nothing else really to update about. Hopefully I’ll get to Pug in to Naxx or some other raids and heroics on Nevariah and pick up a few more upgrades. I’m working on making Ebonweave to craft the robe because I’m still about 5% under raid hit cap, not counting raid buffs of course. Also, is it just me or is anyone else having problems with their pets health? My pet can be at 100% health when I mount up.. but when I dismount, there are times where it was drop to 50% health. This has been going on since they hotfixed the pet health scaling issue but its more annoying now that I’m playing my Warlock a lot more. I’ve also noticed a huge increase in the number of procs Glyph of Drain Soul is giving (maybe 40-50% now as opposed to the 3 or 4% from before), which is a nice bonus. I wonder how this glyph will work when the new Drain Soul change goes in effect?
In other Warlock news, it looks like the Glyph of Succubus has been changed to be more arena friendly. It will no longer increase the duration of Seduce but will instead remove all DoT effects from the target. This is similar to the Mage’s Glyph of Polymorph so you don’t have to worry about your DoTs breaking your CC.
Mine pet’s health sometimes seems to glitch down and then fill back up almost instantly. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed it remaining down, just more of quick glitch as the game catches up to my sudden dismounting. *shrug*
“Mine pet’s” *cringe*
I need to go visit the coffee master it appears.
I’ve seen that as well with my hunter. When I dismount, Darwin is at 50% but he’s health pops right back up to full.
Do you have to heal your pet?
My Felguard does suffer from the pet-drop-and-not-climbing-back-up bug. And it doesn’t matter if I heal him up or not… when I dismount again he will stay at his non-scaling health level.
It seems to be entirely based around lag, and it is somewhat rare. And resummoning him (at the cost of a shard, of course) seems to always fix it.
@ Fulg & Fuu – First off, thanks Fulg for the recent kind words for me on your award blog. I truely appreciate it and see many great things coming from your blog now and in the future. And second, yeah, sometimes he’ll debug and regen back to full but for the most part he stays at 50% and I have to heal him up. Its quite annoying =\.
@ Dorgol – This happens to all of my pets, not just my Felguard, but yeah.. this is the exact issue that I’m having. Sometimes they’ll regen back but a majority of the time they just sit at 50% waiting for me to heal them. It’s a total PITA when you get dazed off of your mount and you have to fight Elune knows how many mobs with a half dead pet.
Yeah I have the same issues with my pet’s health. It’s mostly not a problem because I use my imp, mainly, but if I’m relying on my pet to take hits it can definitely be a pain.
I’ve had the pet health issue on my felpuppy. I thought I was going crazy. >.>
It seemed to happen with more frequent dismounting as I cast. Sometimes it’d jump back up, but most of the time it’d stay low. Huh.
Now, Abi, your pet could be half alive
We all see how you think now Mr. Pesimistic
I’m more of a “The Glass is half full” type of person myself.
