I’ve been slapped with another meme tag (this time from Fulguralis @ Killing ‘em Slowly), so here goes.
The rules are quite simple!
Tell everyone about your characters names and give some details. As for the tagging? “For my meme, three shall be the number of the tagging and the number of the tagging shall be three. No more, no less.“
Listen to Fulg or you end up on the receiving end of a low budget kidnapping! GETINTHEVAN!
Abigore
I’m pretty sure I’ve gone over this one before, but “Abigor” is the name of an Austrian Black Metal band that I like and I thought the name seemed scary and fitting for a Warlock. After transferring my Warlock back and forth, the name was taken by my Shadowpriest (Since I’m a fan of reusing names) and I was forced to rename him Morthius after an Aussie-friend of mines Warrior back on Silvermoon. But in the end, the idea came from the name of a good band.
Mutoh
First off, I’m a nerd that grew up watching Professional Wrestling in the early 80′s and two of my favorites were Ric Flair and The Great Muta. The Great Muta’s real name is “Keiji Mutoh”, thus Mutoh is my homage to one of my childhood heroes (or villains).
Aubigore
My old main used to be a male Troll Protection Warrior named Aulbeth (named after Rikuo Aulbath from Darkstalkers fame). I was drawing blanks at the time when naming my Paladin and the name I had in mind (Gaahl – named after the former vocalist for Gorgoroth, another Black Metal band) was taken. I just combined Aulbeth and Abigore in maybe the worst way possible. I’m still considering a name change =\.
Kaliente
My old raiding Mage from Silvermoon that is currently retired got her name in the most generic way. “Caliente” is Spanish for “hot” and I was a Fire Mage. Being a female Draenei didn’t hurt either, I suppose! The worst part was leveling her as Frost with a name that didn’t make any sense. GG PRO!
Adiar
Adiar was my old PVP toon back on Silvermoon that I lost interest in (as well as the Warrior class in general). One day at work I was reading Night Elf lore on WoWwiki before it was firewalled (curse you, job!) and thought the idea of female Warriors sounded cool. I was trying to come up with a name for her when I called a member of my job named Adair. I had written it down wrong as Adiar but really liked how it sounded so I stuck with it.
I’m sad to say that a majority of the rest of my names were either randomly generated or names I came up with without any rhyme or reason. Sorry to disappoint you all!
So its tic-tac-toetag time.. (Bonus points if you get the Nekromantix reference)
