WTFelguard 2: The Return!

MMO-Champion posted a blue that said the Warlock pet health issue is being hotfixed which is why my Felguard’s health barely budged.

  • To get the intended result, we are going to hotfix a change to increase the health that all warlock pets gain from the warlock’s stamina. Depending on your stamina and talents, you should see all of your pets go up by a few thousand health. As one example, a felhunter with 8000 health should go up to about 14,000 health. Felguards and voidwalkers will have more. Imps and succubi less. Doomguard and infernals will jump by a lot. This change should go through any minute.

Let me hop on really quick and take a look..

Yep, it’s fixed and it’s quite a nice boost. 6500 health up to 10,320. I’ll take it! The Voidwalker on the other hand went from about 7k to 16k – 19k with Demonic Empowerment. Very nice if I know I’m gonna be taking on multiple mobs non stop.

WTFelguard?

  • The Felhunter and a couple of other demons should have significantly gained health. If you Felhunter was at 8K yesterday he should be closer to 16K today. The exact number will depend on your gear and talents.

What are “a couple other demons”? As a Demonology Warlock, my primary pet is a Felguard. I logged on last night to see the health difference and there really wasn’t one. Granted, I’m only 71 at the moment but he had about 6k health before the patch and now it’s up to about 6500. Thats not as significant as 16k, which is about doubled, as listed above. Was the Felguard forgotten or will it not be noticeable at all until 80?

Did anyone actually notice a change in their pets health? I haven’t tried to summon my Felhunter but I’ll give it a shot when I get home from work to see the health difference.
