Warlock Changes.

..not in the way you might have thought.

In an attempt to motivate myself in leveling my Warlock, Morthius, I dropped the $15 and made him.. well.. a her. I’ve already gotten a male Undead caster to 80 and part of my motivation with leveling is getting gear upgrades through questing and dungeon runs but I’ve seen all of the caster stuff already. Hopefully this will at least make it feel a LITTLE different and keep me interested.

Its nice to finally pay some attention to someone who hasn’t seen the light of day since Season 1 arena. I had a lot of fun with my Alliance Warlock in TBC and even though my hopes are low that they’ll fix the broken-ness of them, I’d like to at least hit 80 and work with the Demonology spec in heroics, etc. I loves me some Demonology.

Here are the pre and post-op photos!

First up is good ol’ classic Morthius. Still rocking the Frozen Shadoweave set and the season 1 helm which is thankfully (see; embarassing) hidden. He used to have a purple skullet which was eventually changed thanks to the barbershop feature. I like vampires and thought the slicked back, medium length black hair was pretty vampiric. Haathun can be seen in the background thinking about killing Alliance and drinking childrens tears.

An here is the new Mor.. er.. Nevariah..

I figured I’d go out and celebrate by hitting 71 so DING!

Something else peaked my interests today as I headed over to MMO-Champion.

On increasing pet health!

  • The changes we got in for 3.0.8 (aside from some general bug fixes) were mostly designed to help locks survive longer in PvP. I don’t think you have all of the changes yet — for instance we very recently juiced up pet health for some pets. I start to lose track of which changes are on the PTR versus changes we’ve announced that you haven’t seen yet versus changes we haven’t announced. Once 3.0.8 ships this will all be a lot clearer.

And my personal favorite – What Blizz plans to do for Warlocks in future patches!

  • 1) Improve deep Demonology for PvP and PvE. (Thats right.. #1 on their list is to improve Demonology for PVE and PVP. Huzzah!)

EDIT: I wish #2 on the list was to give female Warlocks a female Demon Form.. I don’t enjoy turning in to a buff demon guy.. it reminds me of some weird hentai anime or something.
