Our guild has recently been collaborating with another guild to make a 10-man raid team but we’re trying to steer away from it so we can use the gear for ourselves as progress. I have no personal gripe with this other guild but I’ve spoken with their guild leader about merging full time and they’re actually wanting to build thier own team instead. Rather than bring them along, only to have them leave shortly after, we’re trying our best to finally complete our 10-man team.
I think we’re finally there..
We were missing a tank spot so our guilds Rogue stepped up and leveled his Warrior to 80 and we’re now working on getting him defence capped, etc., to be a stable OT for Naxx (maybe eventually MT as Warriors seem more stable than DK’s which is our current MT’s class).
That left us missing 1 AoE healer and 2 DPS..
My wife’s Pally was getting a cloak made by an unguilded Holy Priest which we talked to and brought them in to the guild. They said their gear needed a little work so we’ve been taking them through heroics, etc., for some upgrades to get them ready for Naxx-10 as well. Problem solved.
So then we were stuck needing 2 DPS..
Yesterday I came in to work and talked with a co-worker who also happens to be a WoW player. We’ve talked before and I remembered him saying that he played Horde on Terenas as a Moonkin but that his guild wasn’t really raiding or anything. I pitched him the idea of maybe transferring to Sisters of Elune and raiding with us if he’d like to see Naxx, OS and Archavon. He mentioned that his girlfriend has an 80 Blood Elf Mage on his server – “Thats perfect!” I said in my e-mail reply. I told him a bit about our guild, our background, what we’ve done so far and what we needed and TODAY he’ll be transferring his Moonkin and his girlfriends to *DRAMATIC DRUMROLL HERE* fill our last 2 remaining DPS raid spots.
I’ll form.. the head!
The last remaining dilemma for us is that one of our Holy Pallys can only raid every OTHER weekend so I need to somehow fill that spot. We’re currently working a little with a Hunter who is interested in raiding with us so I might have to respec healy every other weekend while bringing the Hunter in to fill my DPS slot. This is just a brainstorm thing as nothing is in stone but it’s the only idea I can come up with.
So.. any other Hordies that want to raid wanna transfer over? Lol.
