Finish up your Death Knight and you'll see the fun that ensues with it. Especially if you can time a Death Grip juuuuust right on a cliff. Hilarity ensues as you watch the opposing faction plummet to their deaths >:) And I am also guilty as charged for doing the female rolling a male toon. I've only been there to do the Archavon raid and that's about it. I'd still like to check out Strand of the Ancients as well. I loved AV but I despised the other 3 BG's. I'm not a big dueler either. It's okay, ours will be babies for quite a while anyways. Oh, and hit up wintergrasp to start easing in to PvP is my advice if you can. It's such a cluster... yeah, you don't have to be good to be good. At least that's my opinion. I certainly helps, but you can always go veg on a turret or ride around in a catapult if you're not feeling like running in on foot for some actual battling.
